Zaldy Llorca Balde, our beloved neighbour, friend and building superintendent at 95, died Sunday May 19, 2019.
Zaldy leaves his beloved wife Diana, and their three children, Michael, 27, Jan Christine 24, and Zaldy Jr. 23.
Zaldy was a jovial, respectful, kind, thoughtful, and hardworking man, whose noble spirit has left an indelibly beautiful mark on us all.
We’re all going to miss him, his smile when greeting everyone, his gentle human touch in always asking how we were, listening and sharing his own life experience and perspective.
Wisdom shone through him, as did kindness, empathy, humor and a certain twinkle in his eye that intimated a conspiratorial infectious joy-fullness and love for people and of life.
Uncompromising in his insistence for respect of others and human dignity, Zaldy has earned not only our gratitude and respect, but also our genuine affection and earnest love.
The family has created a video to honour his memory. You can view it here.
