The Leaside Tenants Association (LTTA) is comprised of dedicated volunteers. They have goals of ensuring good communication between tenants and management and bringing forward suggestions to improve the quality of living at Leaside Towers.
With management’s support, the LTTA has accomplished many things including the traffic mirrors in the garages, the outside landscaping, the dog run, the fencing off of the property behind the buildings, the accessibility entrances/exits, and the covered exterior garbage receptacles to name a few.
The Smart Tenant’s Guide to Safety and Security is another LTTA project that was originally created by members of the LTTA with support of Morguard and contains many handy tips for living safely in a high rise tower.
We meet the third Tuesday of every month in the Rec Centre Party Room except for summer recess. The meetings are held to ensure that all tenants have a voice in the everyday happenings that make this a unique and friendly living environment. At each of our monthly meetings, there is a guest speaker who presents topics of interest to the Leaside Towers community. Recent speakers have included: Metrolinx, a representative from Councillor Jon Burnside’s office and the Toronto Police Financial Crimes Unit. Meeting minutes are posted each month the week following the meeting.
Come and get involved, meet your neighbours, voice your opinions, learn what is happening at 85 and 95, and invest some time in your living environment. We would love to have your support and participation. If you would like to join the LTTA, please visit our Membership page.
