Classic Films at the Towers

classic-films-logoWe are a group of film buffs interested in sharing our collection of classic films with the Leaside Towers community. 1 evening every month, we will present a movie classic in the party room in 85 as soon as premises are available.

Our film fest crosses many genres: – drama, mysteries, comedies, thrillers, sci-fi, and more. We have taken all your suggestions into consideration and will present these films thru 2019 (dates to be announced).

New Session of Aquafit Starts October 24th

aquafit-dumbbellsPPL presents Aquafit! All levels welcome.

This is a great class for adults of all ages, skill and fitness levels! Aquafit is easy on your joints and can be used to build up cardiovascular endurance, strengthen your core, and improve overall muscle tone. Jump in and make a splash with us in this low-impact exercise class!

DETAILS:

Day and time: THURSDAY 10:00am – 11:00am
Length: 8 Weeks (October 24 – December 12)
Start Date: October 24th @ 10 am
Price: $45.00 per person

CLASS REGISTRATION:

We need 10 people to register to start up a class. Simply register with the Recreation Coordinator at the Recreation Centre of Leaside Towers. Payments must be paid in full (cash or cheque payable to PPL) to guarantee your spot.

Low Impact Fitness Class – Space still available

This 1 hour Low-Impact Fitness Class is geared to adults aged 50+. The structure of the class includes exercises that target the key components of functional mobility: cardio respiratory fitness, muscular strength, flexibility and balance. The class is suggested for individuals who are comfortable with low impact cardio activity and muscle and core strengthening exercises. Regular participation can help improve your overall fitness, energy levels and sense of well being. Meet new people, get fit and have fun!

Fees:   $55.00/6 weeks (2 classes/week = 11 classes)

LTTA Tenants Meeting September 10th

Please join us for our quarterly LTTA Tenants Meeting on September 10th at 7:30pm.  All tenants are welcome and encouraged to attend.

On the Agenda

  • PC Nilo Espino our neighbourhood resource officer will be speaking on the local street gang problem and the safety of our community.
  • Rachael Hiller from City Councillor Jaye Robinson’s office will answer questions from the tenants.
  • Update on Getaway Club, Book Club, and Movie Night
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY we’d like to hear from you about things you would like the LTTA to undertake in conjunction with Management, to resolve issues and to provide constructive ideas to improve everyone’s living experience at Leaside Towers!

If you haven’t yet become a member of the LTTA, we hope you will join or renew for 2019!  Membership is only $10.00 per apartment per year.
